Blue Gold: The Vanishing Treasure

Across the globe, our most vital resource is under siege. Fresh water, once abundant, is now polluted, wasted, and diverted at an alarming rate. As populations grow and industries expand, the demand for water far exceeds its finite supply, accelerating the desertification of our lands and threatening the delicate balance of life itself.

We once called petroleum "Black Gold"—but today, it is water that deserves the title of "Blue Gold." More than ever, access to clean water is becoming a privilege rather than a right. Communities around the world struggle for what should be guaranteed to all, and as scarcity deepens, water is no longer just a necessity; it is a catalyst for conflict, a reason for wars yet to come.

This installation presents a stark reality: a vast collection of elegant bottles, empty and useless, surrounding a single small bottle—precious, because it holds water. Size and appearance mean nothing when survival is at stake. The question remains: when the last bottle is empty, will we still be here?
